Position Description

Job Title: Junior Structural Engineer
Reporting Into: Head of Structural Engineering
Direct Reports: TBA
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates and KSA

Job Objective:
Perform structural design for steel structures using international standards American, British, and similar along with the local regulations. Design of concrete structures is an added value.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops structural design in coordination with other trades working on the project.
• Ensure the correctness and accuracy of the design documents. 
• Studies, prepares, and validates design documentation for assigned job activities. 
• Answers external and internal technical queries.
• Structural reviews of drawings. 
• Schedules and coordinates group job activities. 
• Overall job management and control of low to high-complexity projects. 
• Ensure delivery is as per client requirements. 
• Assist the Senior Design Engineer in monitoring progress as per schedule. 
• Oversee and manage the function of the draftsman.
• Recommend initiatives to improve efficiency, time, and cost.

Technical

• Knowledge of PEB and HR steel designs and codes (BS/American).
• Knowledge of computer-aided design programs such as Staad and ETABS.
• Knowledge of computer drafting systems such as CAD and BIM software such as Revit.

Experience and Education: 

• 4-6 years of experience having worked with steel structures.
• Available to work long hours and perform site visits for ongoing projects.
