Position Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst
Reporting Into: Finance Manager 
Direct Reports: NA
Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Objective:

Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices. Perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accountants.
• Manage tax audits and tax returns.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures/Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation.
• Plan, assign, and review staff’s work.
• Primary responsibility is to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Reviewing journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
• Training and mentoring junior staff.
• Reconciliations including General Ledger and Balance Sheet.
• Processing of accruals, prepayments, and subsequent journals.
• Managing inter-company transactions and their reconciliation.
• Cost reporting.
• Approving journals.
• Project profitability review (PC\PR).
• Financial forecasting for the region.

Technical

Education and Experience:

• Must be a certified Chartered Accountant/ACCA
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience up to finalization of accounts.
