Arena Delivers Temporary Structures for 100th PGA Championship

Arena Americas worked with the PGA of America to supply rental equipment for the 100th PGA Championship at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri from 9-12 August 2018.

The PGA Championship is one of the most highly regarded golfing events in the world, and golf enthusiasts plan their year around attending this prestigious event. This year’s Championship was the 100th anniversary 0f the tournament.

Equipment included 235 clearspan structures totaling 320,000 square feet of event space, 625,000 square feet of temporary flooring, and 530,000 square feet of carpeting.  Arena also custom built the largest temporary walkway ever installed by the company at 1,725 feet long.  The walkway ranged in height from 10-20’ and was a minimum of 30’ wide and expanded to 100’ wide in places.

The temporary structures were used for Corporate Hospitality, Merchandise, Sponsor and Media Facilities, Concessions, Admission and Security areas.

Arena installed the equipment with the support of 80 crew members during one of the top five heat waves ever recorded in Missouri history.  Despite the temperature, the crews installed 220 truckloads of equipment leading up to the tournament.
